Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, as though we’re living in fight or flight and it seems more and more difficult to find a lasting source of happiness and contentment. We might be left thinking….does happiness exist? If it does, how come I can’t seem to find it, or keep it?
The answer to the first question is absolutely, happiness does exist; however, we’re looking for it in the wrong places. In this half day course, guided by Buddhist Teacher Rebecca Dempsey, we’ll explore how we can find a permanent source of happiness and in doing so, understand more about our mind, our thoughts and feelings and the importance of mindfulness and meditation. We’ll discover that to find happiness we don’t have to change our life, or even anything external, we just need to change our mind.
Everyone is welcome. The retreat is suitable to those new to meditation as well as experienced practitioners. No special clothes are required and seating is provided in chairs and meditation cushions.
There is free on street parking on Peters Hill just outside, with easy access from Westlink Divis St/ Millfield exit, and we are just 15 min walk from City Hall and Belfast Grand Central Station.
