University of Ulster Coleraine Campus
Meditation classes with Buddhist Nun Gen Kelsang Chitta will include:
20 mins Guided relaxation meditation
30 mins Talk
15 mins Guided meditation
These Classes are for everyone. You don’t need to know the slightest thing about Buddhism to attend. It isn’t religious, it is talks that everyone can relate to in their everyday lives.
These classes are a great opportunity to be guided in meditation and to listen to interesting talks that will inspire, uplift and help you to improve your state of mind and learn how to deal with problems and stress in a more constructive way.
Guided by Gen Kelsang Chitta of Potala Kadampa Buddhist Centre. Ordained as a Buddhist nun in 2009, by Tibetan Buddhist Master Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche,
Gen Chitta has many years of experience of teaching meditation and buddhism in a way that makes it easy and accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of interest.
Each class starts with a guided breathing meditation, followed by a talk and a final guided meditation. There’ll be an opportunity to relax, ask questions and drink tea after class if you wish.
All are welcome. Each class is self contained so it’s not necessary to attend all of them, just those ones you are able to make.
Seating is provided both on chairs and mats. No special clothing is required.
£2 pay as you go for these classes for members of the University Mindfulness Society, non members pay £4.
