Everyone wants to be happy, free from problems and suffering. This is a universal wish, however, very few people understand what is the real cause of happiness.

Happiness is a part of the mind that experiences inner peace or peace of mind.

This day retreat will explore the Eight verses in training the mind which was composed by an eleventh-century Buddhist master Bodhisattva Langri Tangpa.

Deriving from a lineage of ancient wisdom the retreat will offer teachings and meditations that reveal methods to transform everyday difficulties into valuable spiritual insights. It will illuminate the source of true happiness for ourself and others. It will explore the deep potential within everyone for permanent happiness by developing our potential to create universal love and compassion.

Guiding the retreat is Kadampa Buddhist Nun Gen Chitta. Appreciated by participants through the country Gen Chitta’s guided meditations and talks can help us gain insights into our more painful and challenging states of mind, and move through them into the development of more acceptance, compassions, and inner freedom.

Seating will be in chairs spaces at a 1m distance. Feel free to bring a mat and cushion if you prefer.

We unfortunately can’t provide free refreshments at this venue but you are welcome to visit the cafe bar and nearby cafes during our session breaks.
