In the midst of busy schedules and constant mental activity, it can be hard to find moments of real stillness. This Kadampa Morning Retreat offers a gentle opportunity to slow down, settle your mind, and reconnect with a sense of inner calm.
Through guided meditations and practical Buddhist teachings, you’ll learn how to quiet mental noise, let go of distractions, and experience a deeper feeling of peace and clarity. These simple methods can be taken into daily life, helping you move through the day with greater ease and focus.

Ian McGlade is an experienced Kadampa teacher who presents Buddhist teachings in a clear, practical, and relatable way. Drawing on many years of meditation practice, Ian helps people find realistic methods for working with modern challenges and developing inner peace in daily life.
A perfect opportunity to pause, reset, and learn tools you can use in daily life. Everyone welcome. No special clothing or equipment required. A selection of both chairs and meditations cushions will be available. Located just 10min walk from the Bus Station, and 3min walk from Bishop St car park, in the beautiful Garden of Reflection.
