In this busy world, our experience of problems seem unceasing and arise effortlessly, whilst lasting peace of mind eludes us. This results in confusion, anxiety and often anger.
These negative states of mind, such as uncontrolled desire and anger, create endless problems for ourselves and others.
In this retreat we will explore the true source of all our problems and reliable methods to overcome them.
We will discover inner methods for improving our human nature and gain confidence in our good qualities through developing the capacity of our mind.
Guiding the retreat is Kadampa Buddhist Teacher Ian McGlade. Appreciated by participants throughout the country, Ian’s guided meditations and talks can help gain insights into our more painful and challenging states of mind, and move through them into the development of more acceptance, compassion and inner freedom.
Seating will be in your choice of chairs or matts and cushions.
There will be a 30min refreshment break at about 3:30pm. Complimentary hot drinks and light snacks will be available in our cafe lounge area.
There’s plenty of time between sessions to read, walk and relax, and the silence in the morning break will allow us the opportunity to reduce distractions and engage more fully with meditation and contemplation.
Everyone is welcome. The retreat is suitable to those new to meditation as well as experienced practitioners.
