Imagine a day where you feel unburdened by unhealthy stress, anxiety, anger and negativity, as well as free of background mental busyness and agitation. A day where you simply feel lighter, more consistently happy and free. Whilst that may seem like a fantasy today, it can become a reality for all of us, more and more day by day.
In this meditation day retreat with visiting teacher Kadam Adam at KMC Belfast – which is suitable for everyone – we will explore where our unhelpful habits of mind and the painful emotions they all too often generate come from. We will explore what is authentic self-compassion, and how it can lead to deep peace of mind and inner freedom. We will explore meditations and a practical and profoundly liberating step-by-step approach – that Buddha taught for everyone – to becoming increasingly free of unhealthy habits of mind and the painful emotions they can generate. We will explore how meditation can help everyone experience a consistently calm, clear and unburdened mind, a mind like a clear sky! We will discover how this leads to a new found lightness of being, positive energy and inner freedom to enjoy an increasingly peaceful, happy and unburdened life.

Seating will be in your choice of chairs or matts and cushions.
Everyone is welcome. The retreat is suitable to those new to meditation as well as experienced practitioners.
Kadam Adam Starr is the Principal Teacher of Tara Kadampa Meditation Centre, Dublin. He has studied, practiced and taught Kadampa Buddhism and meditation for many years under the guidance of the fully accomplished meditation master and internationally renowned teacher of Buddhism, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
Originally from Dublin, Kadam Adam spent many years teaching in the UK and in Europe before returning home to Ireland, where he now teaches extensively throughout the country, as well as internationally.
