Stress can feel constant in modern life, but it doesn’t have to control how we feel or think. In this morning meditation retreat, you’ll learn practical ways to calm your mind, reduce tension, and respond to pressure more skillfully.

Through guided meditations and clear, down-to-earth Buddhist teachings, you’ll discover simple tools for letting go of overwhelm, working with busy or anxious thoughts, and creating a greater sense of inner balance. These methods are easy to apply in daily life—at work, at home, and in challenging situations.

Ian McGlade is an experienced Kadampa teacher who presents Buddhist teachings in a clear, practical, and relatable way. Drawing on many years of meditation practice, Ian helps people find realistic methods for workin, with modern challenges and developing inner peace in daily life.

A perfect opportunity to pause, reset, and learn tools you can use in daily life. Everyone welcome. No special clothing or equipment required. A selection of both chairs and meditations cushions will be available. Located just 10min walk from the Bus Station, and 3min walk from Bishop St car park, in the beautiful Garden of Reflection.
