How to Create Pure Peace, Experience our Mind’s Clarity and Emptiness. A Special 5day Guided Meditation Retreat in Málaga, Spain.

Weekend Meditation Retreat with Buddhist Nuns Gen Kelsang Varahi & Gen Kelsang Chitta and with Buddhist Meditation Teacher Ian McGlade

When we cannot see clearly what is going on in our mind it will just run along automatic unconscious programmes, which easily become negative and create suffering for ourselves and others. But if we understand how our mind works we can bring our mind under control and create the peace and happiness we want.

Often we feel stuck in painful habits of thought, and our mind seems to us to be fixed and hard to change. But Buddha’s teachings reveal that the inflexible, limited mind we normally relate to doesn’t really exist – and our mind is boundless. This is wonderful news! By meditating on our mind’s conventional nature, clarity, we can free ourself from painful emotions and negative thought patterns. We will come to experience deeper and deeper levels of peace and joy from within. Then by meditating on our mind’s ultimate nature, its emptiness of existing in a fixed, inherent way, we can quickly break free — uncovering our limitless potential for joyful transformation.

Buddha said “If you realise your own mind, you will become a Buddha; you should not seek Buddhahood elsewhere”

This retreat is suitable for everyone from beginners to those with some experience of Buddhist meditation.

On this five day retreat we will be guided on our own journey of exploration and discovery of our own mind and it’s emptiness under the skilful guidance and profound yet practical wisdom of senior teachers of Kadampa Buddhism. Gen Kelsang Chitta is Resident Teacher of Northern Ireland, Gen Kelsang Varahi is Resident teacher of Vajrapani Centre in Huddersfield and Ian McGlade is Resident teacher at Lamrim Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Derry Londonderry.

We will observe silence in the mornings until lunchtime
