Learn to Meditate in Half a Day is one of our most popular, accessible and enjoyable workshops. The workshop runs for three hours over the course of a weekend morning and is structured as follows:

  • Talk & meditation (1 hour 15 minutes)
  • Break (30 minutes)
  • Talk & meditation (1 hour 15 minutes.

The teacher will begin the workshop by offering guidance on how to prepare for a meditation, what posture to adopt and what to expect from the first guided meditation. Matts and cushion are supplied if you wish to meditate in a cross legged position, but the majority of people are seated in chairs throughout.

The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. The good news is that anyone can learn to meditate, if they want to.

During this retreat you will gain practical experience of

1) The benefits of meditation 

2) How to use it in daily life to deal with stress, worry and generally be happier. 

3) Explore how Meditation can have a profound effect on our mind. Allowing us to let go of stress and tension

4) Become aware that inner peace is a natural state of our mind which we can tap into anytime. 

The workshop covers the following:

Session One: 2pm – 3:30pm

  • Short guided meditation.
  • What is meditation?
  • What are the benefits of meditation?
  • How to meditate?
  • Short guided meditation.

Break – Tea & coffee – snacks

Session Two: 4pm – 5pm

  • Short guided meditation.
  • Obstacles to meditation.
  • Tools for meditating / how to meditate.
  • Short guided meditation.

These workshops are ideal for those wishing to find out more about meditation and to learn the tools needed to meditate. They are also suitable for people wishing to refresh their understanding of meditation.

Hot beverages and light refreshments will be provided.

Suitable for everyone especially those new to Meditation.
