A Buddhist meditation retreat with sessions guided alternatively by Gen Chitta and Ian McGlade, in person at our spacious Cityside premises, and streamed live on Zoom with an option to replay sessions for one week.
Based on the book Mirror of Dharma by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche which includes
- Essential insights on the advice from Je Tsongkhapa’s heart called The Three Principal Aspects of the Path to Enlightenment
- How to train in the meditation practice of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion
- A special presentation of the practice of the stages of the path to enlightenment, known as Lamrim
With a total of 8 sessions to explore the incredible advice and meditation practices contained within this text and will have the opportunity to get to know experientially these practices and their transformative effects in our life.
Each session will include a talk, a guided meditation and short Buddhist chanted prayers which function to prepare the mind with beneficial motivations for meditation, as well as some guided practice sessions of the Avalokiteshvara sadhana.
Session times 10:00 – 11 :00, 12:00 – 13:00, 15:00 – 16:00, 17:00 – 18:00

Suitable for all levels of experience. Seating is in chairs or cushions. All covid safety measures are in place. Face coverings are mandatory upon entering and leaving each session. Light refreshments are available between sessions and you are welcome to bring a pack lunch to enjoy in our lounge areas. After a brief registration 9:30 – 10am we will be keeping silence in the Centre until 1pm.
