Is it possible in such an insecure world to be free of anxiety? Yes it is.
The debilitating stress that often sweeps us up and destroys our enjoyment of life can be faced with calmness and wisdom. Navigating skilfully through life’s challenges is how we learn to live fearlessly.
Through Buddhist meditation we can uncover the underlying causes of anxiety and learn how to let them go. Through training our mind we will be able to approach seemingly fear-inducing situations with a sense of peace and even enjoyment. This form of freedom gives our lives great meaning.
Fear and anxiety are two of the biggest internal struggles faced by modern people. This engaging morning workshop will explore how we can gain freedom from these negative emotions through meditation and practical application of Buddha’s timeless advice.
Ian McGlade is the Principal Teacher of Lamrim Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Derry Londonderry & has a wonderful ability to present these teachings with sincerity, simplicity and humour.
Everyone is welcome, beginners and experienced meditators alike. No special clothes are required and seating is provided in chairs and meditation cushions.
Complimentary hot drinks and light snacks will be available.
