Discussing Death is less taboo today but still a conversation that we avoid or find difficult to navigate, feeling awkward and quickly withdrawing.

We may think that meditating on death will make us unhappy but in truth the opposite is true. Facing our own mortality may seem daunting but is actually surprisingly refreshing. It provides clarity and focus.

In this mini retreat we will discover how death meditation is an antidote that reduces our tendency to worry and helps us live lighter and find real meaning in our life. We will discover that meditating on death makes us happier.

By turning towards the inevitability of death we can live every moment of our life comfortably in the embrace of death. We will come to appreciate that by ignoring death we are in fact ignoring life. We develop great meaning in our life focusing on what really matters so when death arrives we feel prepared and content.

Guided by Ian McGlade, returning recently from a 6 month full time intensive teacher training programme. Ian sessions so far have been well received, sharing Buddha’s wisdom insights with humour and humility.
